bryan + alison

it’s been a LONG while since i’ve done an actual shoot. this one found me, though, so i took it. actually, WE took it. yep. i had a partner: my jesse.

on june 20, we got to photograph the wedding of a teacher friend who works with jesse. it was quite the day: outside wedding in 90-degree weather with a little rain shower to close out the ceremony. everything flowed smoothly, though, despite the weather conditions. it was a beautiful and fun wedding, and we were happy to help capture parts of it for bryan and alison.

randy + sara

randy contacted me and asked me if i would meet with him and his wife to do a pre-baby photo shoot as a gift to his wife.  i was very honored (and intimidated) to do this as he told me his dad is a photographer.
i met randy and sara in downtown jacksonville, and that’s where we shot all their pictures.  they brought their two dogs along, and we walked to a nearby park and let them join us for part of the photo shoot.  they also brought props to use: a pretty chair, an umbrella, an empty frame, all which made for some fun photos.  (:

james + heather

wedding day!
james and heather asked me to join them the whole day for their wedding.  i’ve never taken so many pictures in my life!
i arrived a couple hours before the wedding, and i was able to walk around the wedding grounds and snap pictures of the little things that made up their wedding.  i also spent some time with heather and her bridesmaids as they all had their hair and makeup done.  about an hour before the wedding started, i took pictures of the groom and groomsmen, and then i took pictures of the bride and bridesmaids.
the ceremony was sooo cute, and everything looked beautiful.  heather did an amazing job planning her wedding, and everything matched the fall season perfectly.  i took pictures of the wedding party coming in, the groom waiting for his bride, and, of course, the bride making her way down the aisle.
after the ceremony, i got to sneak away with the wedding party for a glass of champagne, and then i stuck around for part of the reception.
it was a long day, but i was very pleased with all the moments i captured with my camera, and i thank james and heather for giving me such a great opportunity!

james + heather

i met james and heather in wilmington, nc to do an engagement photo shoot.  we met downtown, and i followed them with my camera as we walked along the boardwalk and around downtown.
they were so easy to work with.  james was especially good at making weird faces, which would cause both of them to crack up.  makes for some good photos!  in two of the pictures here, that is exactly what’s happening.  (:

kevin + jennifer

these pictures were taken at the wedding of kevin and jennifer at carolina beach.  it was a small wedding (immediate family.)  it was very pretty and peaceful.
we got lots and lots of pictures as jennifer had everything organized, and we even had time to do a little freestyle shooting.  the boys really wanted to play all day, and after we got all the “important” shots, i had fun following them around the beach.
